Sugar Beach: the setting is shared, the stay is not.

Compare Sugar Beach's hillside cottages and beach bungalows, family facilities and airport transfers, with key questions to ask before booking.

Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, suits guests who want a beach setting between the Pitons and the option of family activities. The main booking decision is where your room sits: a hillside cottage and a shoreline bungalow are not interchangeable.

Choose your position before your room size

The resort's accommodation guide places one-bedroom beachfront bungalows on the shoreline and luxury cottages higher on the mountain. The collection also includes guestrooms, villas and residences. Decide how often you expect to move between your room, the beach and restaurants before choosing a category.

Request the exact category description and its position on the resort map. If a private plunge pool is a priority, check the room specification, not a photo of another category. The published Deluxe Cottage description includes a terrace and plunge pool.

Is Sugar Beach suitable for children?

The Sugar Club lists supervised activities for ages 4 to 11, while the Spice Club programme serves tweens and teens. Younger children require an accompanying adult. This makes the resort a more practical candidate than Jade Mountain for families with children under 16.

Ask which activities operate on your dates and whether they need reservations. Babysitting costs extra and requires advance booking; the resort also lists a transport charge for the babysitter. Include those costs if adult-only dinners are part of your plan.

What should a Sugar Beach quote include?

Compare the same room category and meal basis across providers. Ask for the complete stay total, taxes and fees, transfer charges, cancellation rules and any food or drink allowances. We have not verified a current full all-inclusive inclusion schedule, so we would not treat the resort name as a promise that every meal or drink is covered.

The premium makes most sense if you will use the beach setting and the resort's facilities. If your main goal is a private open-wall sanctuary rather than a beach-centred day, use our head-to-head comparison before committing.

How far is Sugar Beach from the airport?

Viceroy estimates 45 minutes by car from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF), about 18 miles away, and 80 minutes from George F. L. Charles Airport (SLU), about 31 miles away. Allow for traffic and conditions, and send your flight details when arranging pickup.

Can you visit without staying at the resort?

We have not verified a current day-pass offer or non-resident facility policy. Contact the resort before travelling specifically to use its loungers, pool, restaurants or organised activities. Access to a beach and access to hotel facilities are different questions.

Ask for the permitted arrival route, any reservation requirement, the facilities included and the total charge. Do not build a day trip around an old guest report or assume a hotel booking link reserves a day visit.
