For a honeymoon or anniversary

Our preference is Jade Mountain if you picture long mornings in a private sanctuary and place a high value on the open-air design. Choose a pool category if the infinity pool is central to that picture; the Sky category does not deliver the same feature.

Sugar Beach is the stronger candidate if your ideal day is built around the shoreline and a wider resort setting. It is not necessary to choose the most expensive room: decide first whether a shoreline position matters more than space higher on the hillside.

For families

With any child under 16, Jade Mountain is not an option under its published policy. Sugar Beach has programmes for children aged 4 to 11 and for older children; younger children need an accompanying adult. Check childcare costs and the layout of the specific room or residence, not just the resort's family label.

Which is better value?

Neither wins without matched quotes. Compare dates, room features, guest numbers, meals, fees, transfers and cancellation rights. Then identify the feature you are paying extra for: a private infinity pool, a shoreline position or additional bedrooms.

For a short stay, pick one resort rather than losing part of the trip to a hotel move. For a longer stay, a split can make sense if you genuinely want both room experiences, but price the transfer and lost check-in time before assuming two hotels are better than one.
