Shopping in Scottsdale is not to be missed. It has been called the “Beverly Hills of the Southwest,” offering many high-end shopping options that can last all day. The Scottsdale Fashion Square has over 250 stores with everyone’s favorite brands to choose from. Dining options can be found in the square too, so you can rest your feet and have a bite to eat. The downtown area is full of shopping options. Jewelry, art, clothing, western hats and boots, southwest gifts and books, and more await you in the downtown area. Days can be spent shopping in the Scottsdale area, and there is something for everyone to shop for.
Hiking and Other Options
Arizona is great for outdoor hiking in the cooler months. It is a fantastic way to get your daily exercise, and you can see the amazing views from on top of a mountain. Many trails are available like the ones found at Pinnacle Peak. The McDowell Mountain Preserve has an interconnected map of trails to use for walking, hiking, and biking. Camelback Mountain offers more hiking, but it can be a bit more strenuous and challenging than the other hikes. These trails can get crowded, so weekday or early morning walks will get you the quietest time and fewer crowds on the trails. Take in the cactus and desert scenery as many of these are protected. The Phoenix zoo is not far away and can entertain you and our friends all day as you visit and experience the wildlife it has to offer. The Casino at the Talking Stick Resort has a 240,000 square foot casino for you to try your hand at some games and win some money. The Desert Botanical Garden offers a lovely display of over 50,000 types of desert plants throughout five different trails. Events, concerts, and dining options are either scheduled or available to you. The Octane Raceway gives you and your friends a high-speed electric cart and racetrack to see who is the fastest. It has a bar and grills a mini bowling alley, and an arcade to keep the fun going all day!
