Getting to the island
The journey guide offers a seaplane, or a roughly 30-minute domestic flight from Malé to Maafaru and a 10-minute boat ride. Segment durations exclude connection time.
Soneva requests transfer reservations at least 72 hours ahead and international arrival no later than 15:30 for seaplane connections. A later arrival may require an overnight stay. Ask about delayed flights and baggage: the guide warns luggage above 25 kg may follow later.

What should I check before booking a late flight?
The journey guide asks for international arrival by 15:30 for a seaplane connection. Get confirmation of a domestic alternative or overnight arrangement for a later arrival, including the cost.
