Visit the Federated States of Micronesia

Somewhere in the blue Western Pacific Ocean, there’s a group of around 607 islands that form an independent sovereign island nation, known as the Federated States of Micronesia. The group consists of four states called Pohnpei, Yap Chuuk and Kosrae, each of them unusual and characteristic with a jaw-dropping type of natural sights. The Federated States of Micronesia are somewhat close to Papua New Guinea in the south and the Philippines in the West. As for the capital of this island nation, meet the city of Palikir, an attractive destination located at the Pohnpei Island. However, this is not the biggest city of all the states.

The largest one you can find on the Chuuk Atoll, and it is called Weno. Interesting fact about the states is that they all, except Kosrae, include several outlying atolls, apart from the main high islands. Another amusing thing is that the part of the Coraline Islands of the Micronesia region, which are freely scattered throughout the Pacific Ocean, belong to the Federated States of Micronesia.
