The River Walk
The River Walk is by far the most famous attraction, and it is an excellent way to get out and see what this city has to offer. The guides are experienced and knowledgeable and give great tours. The temperatures hover around a cool 70 degrees, and the caverns have extremely high humidity, so wear appropriate clothing and sturdy walking or hiking shoes or boots as the walkways and steps will have moisture. The botanical garden is a breath of fresh air, especially after walking the River Walk or doing tours. This is a quiet and romantic area for many and the trees, flowers, and vegetation is beautifully done and well taken care of. There are also original Texas settlers’ homes where you can see and learn some unique history. The orchid house is not to be missed, and the Japanese Garden is a place for quiet reflection. San Fernando De Bexar Cathedral
San Antonio is known for its historic churches and missions, and the San Fernando is another one that you should visit! The interior is exquisite, and the famous light shows that is put on in the evening’s draws tons of visitors. The church is still an active church and one of the most beautiful. Visit the vault that contains the burned remains of the Alamo Defenders and pay your respects. Learn about the burials at the church and even about some done in the walls. The Majestic Theatre
