White River Campground

Garden Key Campground
There are only ten sites at this campground, and they are almost always booked! Dry Tortugas National Park is the home of the ten places where campers can campout steps from the beach. The area had very basic amenities like composting toilets, picnic tables, and grills. Campers will have to bring their water, food, and tents. Step out during the day and snorkel in the turquoise water and explore one of the world’s most extensive barrier reef systems. Soft sand is perfect for sunbathers, and the area overall is absolutely beach paradise.
North Rim Campground
There will be no shortage of views at the North Rim Campground found in the Grand Canyon. The area has 80 sites, fire rings, picnic tables, allows tents and RVs, has running water, shower and laundry facilities and flushing toilets. With all these great amenities campers can explore one of the greatest wonders of the world, all while being comfortable. The trail that leads to the Bright Angel Point is nearby for easy access. Call ahead and reserve a site here, as the scenic location and great amenities at this campground in the Grand Canyon fill up quickly with reservations.
Memaloose State Park
Oregon’s Memaloose State Park has 40 full hookup sites and over 65 tent sites with great views. There are flushing toilets and showers here too. The large grassy areas bank along the sides of the Columbia River Gorge, with fantastic views of the water, as many of the sites are close to the banks of the river. Hills and mountains rise on the other side, letting the campers see the beauty the Oregon has to offer. There are open meadows around the camping area, and on clear nights the stargazing is spectacular. Shooting stars are regularly seen at night too. Jedediah Smith Campground
How would you like to camp among the most extensive trees on Earth? A campground has been carved out a grove of the huge redwood trees, offering campers a view that seems otherworldly, as they are surrounded by massive trees with some trunks bigger than vehicles. The sun filters through the green canopies of the redwoods, and the quiet of the giant forest is impressive. This humbling experience can be had at the Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park in California. There are 89 sites available complete with fire rings, picnic tables and flushing toilets nearby. Small RVs and tents are allowed, but there are no RV hookups available. Campers are encouraged to reserve their site months in advance, like this one of a kind campground books quickly.
Carolina Hemlocks
Experience some of the best camping in North Carolina at the Carolina Hemlocks. Located along the South Toe River, this campground has 31 primitive sites. There are bathrooms with hot showers, and it is based on a first-come, first-serve booking. If you’re lucky enough you can get a campsite with not only views of the river, but access to the river straight from your tent or RV! The blue-green water is surrounded by banks of tall trees and mountain views. Tube rentals are available at the campground office, and the area is perfect for swimming, picnics and water activities. It is open from April to October, so claim your ideal place by the river.
Jumbo Rocks Campground
Located in California’s Joshua Tree National Park, the Jumbo Rocks Campground has 124 sites and is only two hours away from Los Angeles. Upon arrival, you will see why it is called “Jumbo Rocks, as there are huge granite boulders scattered across the area. There are no reservations, so show up and claim a spot before they fill up. You will have to bring your water as there is none provided. The large boulders provide a sheltered and more private site, and there are picnic tables and grills at most. Vault toilets are provided as well. Use the north entrance to the park to get to Jumbo Rocks and enjoy your time in a great National Park!
Little Beaver Lake
How would you like some fantastic lake views steps away from your campsite? Little Beaver Lake Campground located in the Picture Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan boast fantastic pine tree forests, boat ramps for your water adventures and lots of hiking trails. Campsites have a tent pad, fire grate, and picnic table. Here is water and there are also vault toilets provided. Water views and access are provided at many of the sites, but arrive early in the morning to claim the best spot as there are only 8 of them! Try the 1.5-mile trail that leads to Lake Superior and its beaches and cliffs.
