Ride the Skywheel

The Skywheel is one of the main attractions of the Broadway on the Beach fun, but it is so popular that it ranks as one of the top things to do while in Myrtle Beach. The Skywheel is a giant Ferris wheel that lights up the night sky as it gets dark. You can see up and down the coast as you ride in an air-conditioned gondola for several rotations around the wheel. Bring your camera for some of the best opportunities while you rise to the top. The view of the ocean from the top of the wheel is simply amazing. The view is worth riding just for the pictures alone, not to mention it is fun for the kids and romantic for the couples.

Ripley’s Aquarium

Ripley’s is famous for its weird and exciting attractions, and Ripley’s aquarium will not disappoint! This I a great place for all ages and the kids will love it. Put your hands in one of the pools and pet the sting rays as they swim by. The most popular attraction is the “Dangerous Reef,” a tunnel that you pass under that is a giant tank. Standing on the glide pass, a conveyor belt slowly travels through the tunnel you don’t have to walk, you can just and enjoy. Surrounding you is a tunnel of water, complete with sand tiger sharks, sandbar sharks, moray eels, nurse sharks and green sea turtles that swim over you and all around you. This is a fantastic experience and makes you feel like you are actually in the ocean. The Rio Amazon, Discovery Center and Rainbow rock are all amazing and fun exhibits to check out while you’re there. This is a fun and exciting thing to do while you’re in Myrtle Beach.
